Marcus Dunne

Biographical Details

Marcus Dunne was born in Boston MA in 2007 to Helen Dunne, a fiction writer, and Simon Dunne, a mid-level manager at the Overseas Shipholding Group. At the age of 18 he entered private military service with the Halon corporation, distinguishing himself first as a combat medic and eventually graduating to field surgeon. After 8 years, including tours of duty in West Africa in support of Operation: Clean Diamond, he returned from active deployment in 2033.

Marcus was moved by the things he saw as a soldier. Prior to applying to Azimuth's Brighter Futures Program he worked with Halon's Military Reintegration Office, that corporation's outreach program for assisting soldiers returning from the front lines.

Azimuth Brighter Futures Program

For the past few years Marcus has worked on improving the quality of cybernetic surgeries, specifically those for returning veterans needing prosthetics. He submitted a proposal to the Azimuth Corporation's "Brighter Future" program, and if chosen hoped to use the grant to find ways of reducing cybernetic surgery complications and improving recuperation time.
