Halon formed in 2012 as a defense contractor. It originally supplied auxiliary and supplementary personnel to the US Navy, and later moved into weapons design and deployment. In 2017, when the federal deficit in the United States reached crippling proportions and the United States government had to start liquidating assets, Halon was the chief purchaser of US Navy technology and equipment. What's more, it undertook the employment of many naval personnel. Some of the most notable acquisitions were the entire line of Ford class supercarriers, and the concomitant F-35 Lightning II aircraft. It was at this time that Halon acquired Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding. These early moves in the history of Halon led to its eventual and unequivocal dominance in global sea power and, according to some, air power as well.

Halon is the largest peacekeeping and civil defense corporation in North America. It's technology is known to be at the forefront of the industry, and its personnel are reputed to be the most effective and well-trained. Corporations throughout the world have called on Halon to secure labor and mining rights in disputed territories, as well as to patrol shipping lanes in lawless waters. Additionally, when international corporate alliance protocols must be enforced, be it for the violation of any ethical or environmental standard, Halon is among the first choices hired to ensure compliance. Halon's primary corporate headquarters are in San Diego, CA, and it maintains major corporate facilities in Newport News, VA, and Gulfport, LA. Internationally, it has offices in Cairo, Egypt; Panama City, Panama; and Perth, Australia.

Halon has been known to work closely with Azimuth and Datalite in recent years. Azimuth was contracted by Halon to redesign the power systems for all of its ships and planes, equipping them with modern solar technology. Halon's supercarriers have been fitted with Azimuth's smartroad technology, boosting their already substantial nuclear capacity. Halon and Datalite have collaborated for over a decade on satellite design and deployment and, in this time, are thought to have put over 500 satellites in the Earth's orbit, ostensibly under their joint ownership.
