Lars Poulsen (b. July 12, 1988, Copenhagen, DK) was the first Director of Biotechnology at Azimuth. He served in the position since its inception in 2026 until his retirement in 2038. The position was created for Poulsen after he won a grant in the Brighter Future Program, and successfully developed new biotechnology for Azimuth. His retirement coincided with Azimuth's acquisition of Bio-Americana, at which point his former position was assumed by Lawrence Bishop. Poulsen insists that the timing of his retirement was entirely coincidental, and that he simply wished to spend more time with his family and on some personal projects. He currently resides in St. George, Utah. He now works on a part-time basis as an independently-contracted biotech consultant.
