Kol Blackstone

Description

Kol Blackstone is a Maguir man of 22 years. He is of slightly above average height and build, though the keen observer will notice that he is particularly fit. He has blue eyes, and close-cropped blond hair, worn in the fashion of a soldier.

Biography

Kol Blackstone was born and raised in Rotbrueck Town. He is the only son of Marko and Iona Blackstone. Iona died during childbirth, and Marko never took another wife. As such, Kol was raised by his father alone. Like his father before him, and his father before him, Marko is a stone mason, and Kol was trained in the masonic trade starting in his youth. By the time he was seventeen, Kol had become a mason in his own right, and shortly thereafter took a wife, and had a child. His wife is Kressara Blackstone, and his daughter is Ana. As of 3217, Kol is 22, Kressara is 20, and Ana is 4.

Kol's tenure as a stone mason did not last long. Since his teenage years, he has been aware that he is possessed of certain gifts, most notably his health and endurance. He is able to stave off injury and recover quickly from wounds. He felt that his inborn abilities were more suited to the life of a soldier than that of a stone mason, so he switched his profession on the even of his twentieth birthday. While he is not the most skilled swordsman around, he has proven himself time and again as a resilient and honorable soldier and guardsman in service of The Baron of Rotbrueck. It is his belief that, in time, he can gain sufficient skill and reputation to acquire more status as a soldier, and perhaps become a man-at-arms, or even a landed knight someday.
