Go Arako

Go Arako (b. ???, ???) is an alleged witch who roams the lands of Dewa. She has been seen in the lands of the Uchida Clan, as well as the lands of the Itoh Clan. For a time, she was a consort to Uchida Kazuo, though she eluded attempted capture at that time. She is also known to have persuaded a man named Yosano to undertake a duel against Ishimaru Tetsuo. She is known to have some ability with herbalism and poisonmaking. She is alleged to have powers over animals and the ability to change her appearance. She can also survive on her own in the wild of Dewa.

Go Arako was eventually tracked down by Akira Kurasu and Lord Fujiwara Nao in the summer of 721, living north of Lord Nakamura Reizo's lands, in a cave on a mountainside, up a steep cliff. Akira confronted her there, though the details of that encounter remain a mystery to all others. As of the winter of 721, Go Arako was living with Akira in his house at Kusage village. Upon discovery of her presence and the claim that she carried his child, Lord Ishimaru Katsurou forced them to marry.
