Felix

Felix doesn't remember too much about his early childhood, it's just a bunch of sad stuff that doesn't really matter to him. If anyone cares they can just ask his brother Andre, he's got the better memory... and looks... and smarts. The two were only born minutes apart but they aren't the creepy look-alike-dress-alike twins. At a very early age Andre was picked for an apprenticeship to a sage, while Lix found work in a tavern cleaning dishes. He worked there for a whole ten minutes before he snuck out the back window. On his way out he noticed a man looking at him with amusement. It took him a second to realize the man was climbing out the window opposite him; only he was carrying a sack filled with loot. Now Lix had an apprenticeship of his own.

Years went by and Lix felt he was surpassing his mentor's skills. However, things were going well for him in Belverus. Plus Andre was happily tinkering away with his master, learning great things or whatever. He couldn't leave his brother; who else could gather all his ingredients and whatnots so "cheaply". He stuck around.

Things changed one night when a simple job went bad. His mentor made mistake after mistake and in the height of his foolishness dropped a vase. The shopkeeper came down and looked both the thieves right in the eye; they bolted. Felix was smart enough to blend in with the crowd once he was far enough away and quickly made his way home. Surprisingly, Andre was waiting for him to come home and immediately started to tell him about the city of Tarantia. The city was ripe for some thieving, and this and that and Atlantis something. Lix quickly agreed they should go... then told Andre how great the timing really was.

They left the next day, after a stop by Andre's master's workshop. Lix checked around the local tavern for some rumors. Seems a thief was caught last night, and another one got away, he sort of matched Lix's description. Yep, it was time to go.
