Player Information
New PCs--Ensigns--should be made with 175 points. Due to the thorough screening of candidates and rigorous training of cadets, Star Fleet Academy graduates are allowed only a maximum of -20 disadvantage points. This maximum does not including the -35 disadvantage points from the Starfleet Academy template (or any disadvantage points from a racial template). It does include any disadvantage you might choose from the TL11 Everyman Lens.

Resources
GURPS
These books are used frequently by GM and player alike.
- GURPS Basic Set 4th edition
- GURPS Ultra-Tech 4th edition for weapons and equipment
If you intended to GM a Star Trek session, I can also recommend these books.
- GURPS Space 4th edition
- GURPS Prime Directive 4th edition primarily for the map, racial and academy templates, and some aspects of the timeline
- GURPS Bio-Tech 4th edition
nonGURPS
- Memory Alpha - I use this least as much as GURPS Prime Directive 4th edition.
- Starfleet Museum - An outstanding resource by Masao Okazaki.
