Willa Sanders

Willa Sanders (b. September 12, 2019 in Baltimore, Maryland) was a sergeant in Halon special forces Division 20. She now resides aboard Thaumas I and serves as both the de facto leader of Division 20 and as Jack Fletcher's bodyguard. Additionally, she teaches a weekly martial arts class for advanced practitioners. She is part of a group of former Halon soldiers who call themselves the Earth Resistance.

Prior to serving aboard Thaumas I, Willa served in Halon for seven years, with five of those as a member of Division 20. Prior to that, she served as a bodyguard to Halon executives. She is known for her devotion to her team and her sacrificial acts in the face of mortal peril, and was a recipient of the Halon Medal of Valor in 2043. She was the Halon Armed Services MMA champion in the women's light-heavyweight division in 2041, 2042, and 2043. She was disqualified from further participation when she received cybernetic enhancements on the order of Division 20 command in 2044.
