Harold Tran (b. March 14, 2000 in San Jose, California) is the Director of Maritime Research at Azimuth. Tran grew up in San Jose and joined Halon's college program after graduating from high school. He served aboard Halon vessels for four years before returning to San Jose and enrolling at San Jose State University. There he studied chemical engineering and oceanography. He was recruited to Azimuth shortly after his graduation in 2027, and has worked there since. Tran was one of the earliest developers to join the Thaumas Program and serves as the chief engineer aboard Thaumas I, where he is also listed as its first resident. Prior to helping initiate the Thaumas Program, Tran was best known for his research into biogenic processes and biogenic engineering.
