The Zhuang Lands
The Zhuang lands around Qinglu village follow the course of the Zuo River. Upstream, the next village along the Zuo is Hongye Village, home of the Pao clan. Across the Zuo, and up into the hills is Nigan Village, home of the Hu clan. Beyond this village to the north lies the Imperial Highway. Continuing upstream along the Zuo, into the higher hills and mountains, one passes the Jinxiang Village where the Zuo forks into the Peng and Ky Cung Rivers. The Peng travels into the mountains lands of the Yao, and the Ky Cung continues up through Zhuang lands toward the Nung lands and the Detian Falls. Zhuang villages dot the hills and mountainsides all along the Zuo. Yanxiao Village, home of the Vue Clan and Longkou Village, home of the Chay Clan, are two villages south of Qinglu, in the hills and highlands.
Downstream from Qinglu, the next village is Kuanchang Village, the largest village in the region, home to the Shang and Liuxing clans. North of the Zuo from Kuanchang village, toward the Imperial Highway, are Nancun and Yiyong villages, home of the Zong and Dailon clans. Yiyong Village is noteworthy for having two descendants of its recently deceased witch doctor in dispute of who should be his rightful successor.
