United Federation of Planets

Introduction

The United Federation of Planets (abbreviated UFP), also known as the Federation, is an interstellar political government consisting of thirty-two members. Members of the Federation agree to semi-autonomously under a single central government based on the principles of universal liberty, rights, and equality, and to share their knowledge and resources in peaceful cooperation, scientific development, space exploration and defensive purposes.

The central governing body of the UFP is the Federation Council, which consists of one voting representative of each member civilization, as well as a number of non-voting representatives from colonies and non-aligned worlds.

Federation Members

As of 2270, the Federation is composed of the following members. Each member has one representative on the Federation council and at least one diplomatic representative registered with the Federation.
