Kokayo

Kokayo village lies among low hills, approximately 20 miles east of Kusage village. It has an official population of 980, though that number rises in the summer months with migrant workers who arrive to participate in logging operations, some of whom remain to take part in the fall harvest. Kokayo was founded by members of the Nakamura clan, with the earliest records of its existence dating back to year 480.
