UCLA
Located at 855 North Vermont Avenue on the old State Normal School campus, the Southern Branch of the University of California will confer its first bachelors degree in 1925. The school currently has its highest enrollment to date, with nearly 500 undergraduates attending classes full-time. The regents have begun searching for a new campus location. Construction on a new campus with larger and improved facilities is expected to begin in 1927.
Faculty
The school faculty is quite small and consists of a number of young researchers and professors. An intense search is under way for professors and researchers in a number of areas that have not received emphasis at other local universities, notably science and engineering.

- David Maxwell. Professor of Engineering.
