Miskatonic does not have access to cutting-edge technology; in fact, most equipment provided will be used and possibly in need of maintenance or repair.
Miskatonic is an extremely useful resource for those who have Occultism, Hidden Lore, or Magic-related skills. The university libraries hold copies of some of the rarest and most proscribed manuscripts in the world, with the special collections housing the sole surviving copies of some manuscripts.
