The Galactic Standard Calendar was created by the First Terran Empire. It continues to be the standard for interplanetary commerce, though individual worlds have their own local calendars.
Definitions
Galactic Standard Year = 400 days
Galactic Standard Day = 25 hours
Galactic Standard Hour = 100 minutes
Galactic Standard Minute = 100 seconds
Galactic Standard Second = Duration of 9,192,631,770 cycles of radiation corresponding to the transition between two energy levels of the caesium-133 atom at a temperature of 0°K.
