Church of the Toothless One

Nearly two centuries ago, missionaries from the Holy Empire attempted to land on the beach south of the Wicklow harbor. Hostile locals attacked the landing party causing one of the saint's party to lose his front teeth. Most of the party fled in their boats, but one man was undeterred and remained in Wicklow. He became known as Manntach, which means “toothless one,” and eventually founded a church. The monk was also said to have been able to work wonders and miracles in the name of the One God. He built a church and called it Cill Mhantáin, meaning Church of the Toothless One. The Church was burned in the riots that followed the Great Devastation. No one knows what became of the old monk who lived there. A small number of elves who work as servants in Summerhill have taken up residence in the ruins.
