This structure seems to be based around a conventional carburetor, modified by the addition of steel, brass, and gold parts (some of which are inexplicable) along with four permanently-affixed power stones. As long as the engine is in a regular mana zone, it will function as a normal TL6 internal combustion engine (even producing exhaust, a harmless and odorless water vapor). In high or very high mana zones, the car can move much faster. The carburetor will not function in a no mana zone. Detailed examination of the device suggests it incorporates weird geometry as well as weird mechanics in its design.

The taxi is inhabited by a spirit (IQ 3) that may be summoned by the driver applying a small amount of his/her blood to the crystal. Activating this spirit gives the driver +4 bonus to Area Knowledge (Local), Driving, Navigation (Land). This bonus applies to defaults as well as techniques, even if the character does not have the trained skill. The spirit can also provide this bonus to repair skills related to the maintenance of the vehicle. Once activated, the enhancement has a duration of 8 hours.

This retired taxi is a 1936 Ford 4-door sedan painted black and yellow, featuring rear-hinged passenger doors (“suicide” doors) and running boards. Each front door is painted with a business logo: the words ACE TAXI over and under two aces. On the driver’s door it’s an ace of hearts and an ace of diamonds; on the passenger side, it’s a ace of spades and an ace of clubs.

Mana-Powered Engine

The engine has been altered by the replacement of the standard carburetor with what appears to be an magic carburetor.

The Taxi Spirit

The dashboard of the taxi is the same as a standard version with one exception: a blood-red crystal surrounded by a circular gold fitting.
