Dr. Emil Skoda (b. 1913, Heidelberg, Germany) is a professor of anthropology at the University of Southern California. He is a renowned expert on demonology, with knowledge of not only classical European and Asian mythologies, but those of indigenous African and American cultures.
Skoda has an academic reputation as a bit of a wildcard. He determined early in his anthropological studies to study neglected and obscure cultures whenever possible. Along with the standard curriculum, Skoda gave himself an equivalent education in the cultures his teachers left off the syllabi.
