Warp Factors

A ship traveling at warp factor one is traveling the speed of light: 186,000 miles/second or 0.3066 parsecs/day. (1 parsec = 3.26156 lightyears) Star systems are typically separated from each other by one or two parsecs. A hex on the United Federation of Planets Map is 500 parsecs wide and roughly 1000 parsecs thick.
