Background
MSOT-23 is ordered to protect an Afghan police compound near the border about fifty miles south of Camp Maholic.
Mission Status
SUCCESS. MSOT-23 defended the assigned position against an estimated 25-30 insurgents who were armed with 4 mortar cannons, a single 50-caliber machine gun, and AK-47 automatic rifles.
