Alchemists working at TL5 or higher enjoy the benefits of modern laboratory equipment and procedures. In a TL5+ professional-grade laboratory that provides at least a +1 bonus or greater, a skilled alchemist enjoys the following benefits:

  • Recipe costs are reduced by 30%. (Retail costs are unaffected.)
  • Time required to produce any non-secret (common retail cost less than $1000) elixir is reduced by half. Round up half-days.
  • Alchemist can batch produce up to Skill x TL doses without the usual -1/dose penalty, provided enough raw ingredients for the recipe are available.

Example: Love potion (M 219) normally costs $600 per dose and requires 3 weeks to process. In a TL5+ laboratory the recipes costs are reduced to $400 per dose and the time required halved to 11 days.
