Solomon Tophet (1888-1956) was a noted magician of the 1920s and 1930s. He was also a respected archaeologist and anthropologist who performed extensive research in the Middle East and North Africa. He lived and worked primarily in the United States until the 1930s, when he moved to Italy.
Solomon Tophet left the United States in 1930 as a result of the Fire Magic Wars. He traveled extensively in Europe, finally settling in Rome as a base of operations for his archaeological expeditions. In 1932 Solomon Tophet married Contessa Ismaila Rossi of Sicily, who later gave birth to their only son, Alexander Tophet. The couple later had four daughters.
Solomon Tophet died in 1956 and is buried on the island of Filicudi.
Description
10-point Patron, available only to Magick students of Tophet. A master and teacher of Ceremonial Magick.
Frequency
12 or less (Quite often).
Special Enhancements
Tophet maintains a Mindlink with each of his students. While he is able to contact them at any time (but never without their notice), a student is only able to contact Tophet via Telesend (Basic p. 91) once per day. A student may resist Tophet’s attempts at Mind Reading, but not his Telesend.
Special Limitations
Minimal intervention.
Notes
- Esteemed Leader, Emeritus, of the Golden Dawn Temple of Southern California. Founder of the Order of the Knights of Osiris.
- Tophet spends 75% of his time in seclusion. He keeps a private compound in the rural hills outside Los Angeles. Tophet never has more than nine students under his tutelage. He maintains a Mindlink (Basic p. 70) with each of these students.
- All students under the patronage of Tophet are required to take Minor Vow (Vegetarianism), -5 points.
